All she wants for Christmas is…revenge.

When chalet girl Amy Wright finds her ex’s name on Chalet Repos’ guest list she sees her chance to get back at him – Josh Carter, the guy who broke her heart. Getting revenge without losing her job will be tricky but luckily the other chalet girls are on hand to offer their support. Pretty soon she’s in too deep and realises she doesn’t want to hurt him anymore. She wants him back.

There’s just one teeny complication…

I’m a big fan of Lorraine Wilson’s Chalet Girl series and love her hot sweet stories set on the chilly slopes of the exclusive Verbier resort.

REVENGE OF A CHALET GIRL is the third instalment and we’re introduced to Amy, a young woman trying to escape the dark cloud of depression that has followed her since being unceremoniously dumped by her boyfriend Josh quickly followed by a heartbreaking family bereavement. Now joining familiar faces Scott and Holly at Chalet Repos, Amy finally feels like she’s on an even keel, enjoying her time baking and having fun with the other chalet girls when a familiar face rocks her world, her ex, Josh. Will Amy and Josh ever be able to forgive and forget the past?

I enjoyed REVENGE OF A CHALET GIRL but I didn’t connect with it as fully as the other two books. One thing I love about Wilson’s writing is that although her books are short she packs an emotional punch but I didn’t feel it as much with this book. While I liked Amy and Josh I felt their connection was stilted and not as powerful as Holly and Scott in “Confessions” or Flora and Zac in”Secrets”. There was also a noticeable lack of “heat” in this book which was a disappointment. Instead however there was a lot of humour which was a welcome surprise as Amy and her cohorts planned out plenty of pranks to get back at Josh with some hilarious results.

Sweet and fun but lacking the blistering fire and chemistry of its predecessors, REVENGE OF A CHALET GIRL was playful and a quick read for anyone who enjoys a good romance!
